We played Douglas in the Munster League on Wednesday and came out
deserving 1 point winners on an 8 point to 7 scoreline. This was a
very competitive game and the determination that the girls showed in
the last 10 minutes was very satisfying to see. Well done to all but a
particular mention has to go to Ciara and Jess (the experienced
newcomers) and also to Mia who once again played really well when
introduced for the second half. It was also fantastic to see Eimer
back playing outfield after a long lay off with injury. We received a
walk-over in the final game so we are now delighted to be into the
semi final. We don't know who will be our opposition but hopefully we
can now go all the way to the final. We also are due to play in the
Cork summer league which will commence in the next week or two with a
game at home to Barryroe. Keep up the good work girls, only a month to
go to D Day in the championship.
