Under 11 & Under 12

We have had a busy few weeks with the start of our Go Games Leagues –
Our U11's have played against Carrigaline and Sars. We played
Carrigaline at home 2 weeks ago and were missing quite a few players.
Our girls started off well but Carrigaline came back to draw 1-3 to
2-0. Last Saturday we played Sars away, again we were missing a few
players but were strong throughout and won well in the end – 5-2 to no
score.
Well done girls – Attendance at training will have to improve – we
have a panel of 23, but only 14 are turning up for training each week
– Training is a very important part of playing Camogie and we have to
encourage all girls to be there every Sunday.
We have entered 2 teams of 11 a side into the U11 competition, but for
the last two matches have only been able to play 1 match as we have
been unable to field the 2 teams – this is why we have 3/ 4 subs on
the line with 1 match of 11 a side. We
encourage all parents to try and make the matches as a lot of effort
is being made by the Trainers/ Club to fix the matches.
Our U12's have played 2 matches also – we lost 6-2 to 2-1 against
Carrigaline and won well 7-2 to no score against Douglas last week.
There was a fierce difference in the girls between the 2 matches, and
they played their hearts out against Douglas as seen by the score –
Girls, this is the standard you are, and should play like this every
match as you are well able. Well done to all the Girls.
Our U12 is a small panel, but they are a strong team and should do
very well in the competition.
The Under 12's have also moved up to train and play with the U13's – I
think they got a bit of a shock at the first training session with
Philip & Laura – obviously Linda, Frank, Ian and Stephen are way to
nice – Little did the girls know that worse was to come when Linda &
Philip organised Kieran to train them last Sunday – Kieran gave an
excellent session and when I asked one of the girls after did they
listen to everything he was saying? She replied "All I could hear -
was my heart pounding for the hour.."
I think we'll have to get Kieran back again! Thank you Kieran – you
did a great job with them, we really appreciate it and the girls
really enjoyed it (They admitted it afterwards).

TRAINING continues every Sunday 12.15pm – 1.15pm.
